CHEF’S OR Damascus Chef Knife

It is also known as a Damascus Chef Knife . With a much more versatile use, this knife is use to chop greens and vegetables, chop meat and fish and other more general uses. They usually have a wide and stable leaf of about 20 cm, although they can measure up to 30 cm. This last size is usually use when you have larger than usual pieces of meat or fish.


With a thin, curve blade, this is the right knife, as its name suggests, to remove the bones in a piece of meat, as often happens when a chicken is chop and the breasts are remove.


They are long, thin, and flexible bladed knives suitable for filleting pieces of meat or fish in a clean way. Due to their versatility, fillet knives can be use as both steak and fish knives.



This is the right knife when cutting ham or large pieces of meat. It has a very long, thin, and generally flexible blade to facilitate proper cutting or slicing. Ham knives usually have a sharp point.


It is a knife very similar to the ham knife only that its tip is round. In addition, in most of the fish knives, the blade has alveoli to facilitate that the slices of food that are cut do not stick together.


In this case, the blade is also long and strong, but unlike the previous ones, bread knives have a serrate edge to cut the crust of the bread without difficulty.

This is the Japanese chefs or cook’s knife equivalent to the western chef’s knife. In the Santoku knife, the shape of its blade is very characteristic since it has a flat base, a round tip, and a length of between 12 and 20 cm. Due to its shape, it is a very versatile knife, since it is use to cut, chop or slice vegetables, fruits, meat, or fish.
